Wiki.GIS.com provides a couple different venues to discuss the wiki, any changes to the wiki, moderation, specific wiki pages content, and anything else that you would want to discuss about the wiki or a particular page within wiki.GIS.com. Discussion is a vital part of the wiki and the community involved in providing content, editing, and using wiki.GIS.com.

Discussion Room

The discussion room is used for posting any suggestions or comments for wiki.GIS.com administrators and moderators.

Discussion Tab

The discussion tab is located on each wiki page. The discussion (talk) page for each wiki page can be used to discuss changes to its associated article or project page.

Signing your contributions

Any contributions on talk or discussion pages should be signed and dated. An easy way to add your signature, the date, and the time to your contributions is by placing four tildes (~~~~) or clicking the 'Signature & timestamp' button located on the editing toolbar at the end of the discussion. This is converted into a signature line with your username, the date, and the time. You can change the format of the signature line by accessing and making the necessary changes in My Preferences.
