What is the Discussion Room?

The discussion room is a wiki page where you can post any suggestions and comments for wiki.GIS.com administrators and moderators.

How do I access the Discussion Room?

You can "enter" the discussion room by clicking on the Discussion Room link located within the site management navigation box on the left side of any wiki page.

How do I add my comments or suggestions to the Discussion Room?

Once you are on the Discussion Room wiki page, click the edit tab to add to any content that already exists on Discussion Room page. Best practice: click the + tab to add a new section of text to the Discussion Room. The reason you would want to utilize this method is so that your comment or suggestion stands on its own and can therefore be seen and read more easily and efficiently by the administrator or moderators. Unless you are adding come context to a discussion topic that was already started, you will always want to click the + tab to start a new section.

Can I leave comments or suggestions about a particular wiki page here?

This is highly discouraged. Please use the discussion pages that are available from each wiki page to add specific comments or suggestions about that particular wiki page. For instance, the wiki page for Jack Dangermond is entitled Jack Dangermond; whereas, the wiki discussion page for Jack Dangermond is entitled Editing Talk:Jack Dangermond.
