Help:To-do Templates

From Wiki.GIS.com

Within wiki.GIS.com there are templates that can be added to individual wiki pages to let the community know exactly what needs to be done to the wiki page. The list of available templates can be found at Article message boxes.

Here is an example of what a template looks like in wiki markup language: {{Orphan|date=February 2009}}. Notice the date that is added after the pipe (|). It is important to add a date so that the community, moderators, and administrators can tell when the To-do template was added.

Here is an example of what the same template looks like on the wiki page:

This article is an orphan, as few or no other articles link to it. Please introduce links to this page from other articles related to it. (February 2009)
