Personal IMS (developed by Data East, LLC) is an Internet map server allowing publishing in Internet/Intranet maps created in ArcGIS. With Personal IMS you may publish your maps in .mxd, .mxt, or .pmf formats and make them available for viewing in Intranet or worldwide via Internet. For viewing maps published with Personal IMS you need only standard browser and Internet connection. To install and run Personal IMS there is no need to have a web server or any server-specific software - all required components are included and installed with the Personal IMS application.
